United Bikes Price Increase February 2023

Following Atlas Honda's lead, United Auto Industries has raised the prices of its bikes by up to Rs. 11,000. The company issued a notification stating that the rise in production costs is due to the recently imposed General Sales Tax (GST) and increased rates of raw materials. The company is finding it difficult to sustain the current prices and is therefore immediately increasing the prices of all its bikes.

New United Bike Prices

• United US 70: Old Price - Rs. 87,500, New Price - Rs. 96,500 (an increase of Rs. 9,000)

• United US 100: Old Price - Rs. 92,000, New Price - Rs. 102,000 (an increase of Rs. 10,000)

• United US Scooty 100: Old Price - Rs. 110,000, New Price - Rs. 120,000 (an increase of Rs. 10,000)

• United US 125: Old Price - Rs. 130,000, New Price - Rs. 141,000 (an increase of Rs. 11,000)

Terms and Conditions

Starting from February 16, 2023, United Auto Industries has implemented new prices for its bikes. As a result, all bookings made after that date will be charged at the new rates. Although the company has cited an increase in production cost due to the GST and raw material rates, some may question why the GST is being imposed on bikes that have already been produced or are being produced at the old raw material rate.

Unfortunately, this seems to be a common trend in the local market, especially among bike companies. Despite claiming complete localization, these companies repeatedly raise their prices, seemingly to maximize their profits at the expense of the consumers.

In fact, just yesterday, Atlas Honda increased the prices of its bikes, with the Honda CG 125 now priced at over Rs. 200,000. It is likely that Suzuki and Yamaha will soon follow suit.
