I’ve visited a couple of MG service centers in Lahore and Karachi, and the experience has been disappointing — from long waiting times to untrained staff and lack of spare parts. Has anyone found a reliable MG service center in Pakistan, o r is this a common issue with the brand here?

This is a major issue raised by MG owners across cities like Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad. Common complaints include:
Undertrained Staff: Many service advisors and mechanics are not well-versed with the car’s features.
Lack of Spare Parts: MG faces delays in spare parts imports, which increases repair times.
Poor Communication: Many owners report that service centers don’t inform them properly about progress o r costs.
Limited Service Network: Compared to Honda o r Toyota, MG’s service presence is still limited in Pakistan.
What you can do:
Try to find an MG Platinum o r Level 1 dealership — they are usually better equipped.
Join MG owner groups on Facebook o r PakWheels to find recommended mechanics o r service centers.
Always ask for written documentation of service and part availability timelines.

There’s a visible improvement in the physical facilities cleaner workshop, better tools and process flows pre-inspection, checklists. The whole experience feels more organized than when I first got my MG.

Lately, when I take my MG in for its scheduled service, the wait to start is much less than before. Appointments are better respected, and the queue moves faster, which is a big improvement.

The technicians and service advisors
now seem more familiar with the MG
line-up. They explain whats wrong, whats being done, and they dont have to come back to ask basic questions. It
gives more confidence that they know
what they are doing.
