Regal Automobiles Industries Limited (RAIL) has partnered with China's DFSK to assemble and sell vehicles in Pakistan under the brand name "Prince." Under the Automotive Development Policy 2016-2021, Regal Automobiles was granted Greenfield status. The company introduced its first car, Prince Pearl, in 2020 with the goal of "reshaping" Pakistan's automobile industry. Despite being well-received in the local market, Prince Pearl has faced competition from the United Bravo.

History of Prince

Regal Automobiles is Pakistan's third-largest motorcycle manufacturer and gained Greenfield status under the Auto Policy 2016-21. In 2017, the company teamed up with the Chinese car manufacturer Dongfeng Sokon, also known as DFSK, to launch the Prince motors brand in Pakistan as Prince Pakistan. DFSK is a well-known name in the Chinese automobile industry and produces a variety of carrier vans and passenger vehicles.
 

Performance and Technology in Prince Vehicles

So far, Prince Pearl is the only Prince motors available in the Pakistani market as the Prince cars Pakistan. Although it has surpassed United Bravo in terms of build quality and technology, it falls behind its Suzuki rivals in terms of performance and technology.
 

The Prince Pearl

Prince Pearl is a combination of two Changan cars, the Bennu and BenBen Mini. It features an 800cc EFI engine capable of producing 40 horsepower and 60.6 Nm of torque. Standard features include power steering, power windows, central locking, a touchscreen infotainment system, 13-inch alloy wheels, and fog lamps. The Prince Pearl has a warranty of 60,000 kms or 3 years, whichever comes first.
