Suzuki Wagon R Car Reviews
I live abroad, but whenever Im in Pakistan, I mostly use my Wagon R, especially in hilly areas like Bauser Pass, Naran, Gilgit, and Hunza. It offers a great ride, and Im happy with the cars performance and fuel economy. I do miss having ABS and airbags, but for a small car, its not bad. The car has only covered 13,000 miles so far, and Ive had it serviced by Suzuki.

A Versatile Choice For Families
Jan 23 2025The exterior of the Suzuki Wagon R is decent, but the car tends to feel unbalanced during overtaking, especially on highways. At a price of 28 lac PKR in Pakistan, it offers reasonable safety with a rating of 35/100. However, its performance in mountainous areas is poor, and the comfort level stands at 49/100. On the positive side, its style is top-notch with a 100/100 rating, and the spare parts are available, though they come at a high cost.

Not Value For Money According To Price
Jan 13 2025The cars fuel average is only 11.5 km/l at best in the city with the AC on, which is lower than expected. It lacks retractable side mirrors, and there are no power windows for the back passengers, which feels like a significant oversight. Additionally, it doesnt come with an armrest, and there’s no AC cabin filter — a basic feature I had to install myself through the aftermarket.
These are all cheap compromises Suzuki should have addressed, especially considering the price. Furthermore, the tires are noisy and feel of poor quality, adding to the overall disappointing experience.

Not Excellent
Jan 10 2025This car lacks an attractive exterior and doesnt offer great fuel consumption. The interior doesnt provide enough leg space, which can be uncomfortable. It’s overpriced, especially considering the lack of automatic features. The tires are too small, which makes the driver feel uneasy about the possibility of a rollover. Additionally, the paint quality is not as smooth as expected.

Suzuki Wagon R Is It Value For Money
Jan 07 2025The exterior is average, but the interior is quite good. I’m writing this review to highlight the car’s excellent fuel economy, which is its standout feature. I own the 2022 model, and it gives me 15 to 17 km/l with AC and 19 to 21 km/l without AC. Fuel economy largely depends on two factors: driving habits and fuel quality, along with regular maintenance and tuning.
In terms of performance, the pick-up and power-to-weight ratio are good, so you won’t usually feel a lack of power. However, with four adults and baggage, along with the AC on, it’s important to make sure you’re shifting gears at the right moment for optimal performance.
Driving comfort is acceptable, though not outstanding. The rear suspension, in particular, is disappointing. Additionally, the car lacks safety features—at least ABS and airbags should be standard across all models.
Final verdict: It may offer slightly less value for money, but in Pakistan, its one of the better options, especially with its unmatched fuel economy.
