I’ve noticed that after driving in Lahores stop-and-go traffic for just 20–30 minutes, the brakes on my Oshan X7 feel unusually hot and sometimes give off a smell. Is this normal in Pakistani conditions, o r could there be a problem with the pads o r calipers?

In cities like Lahore, Karachi, o r Islamabad, constant stop-and-go traffic causes frequent braking, which leads to brake pads heating up more than usual. The Changan Oshan X7 is a heavy SUV, so its brake system works harder to stop the vehicle, especially with passengers o r cargo. If youre noticing heat o r smell:

It can be normal during high-traffic conditions.

However, low-quality brake pads, sticking calipers, o r worn-out brake components can worsen the issue.

Ensure you use OEM-quality o r ceramic brake pads designed for high-temperature resistance.
