2 questions..compression & engine condition

2 questions..compression & engine condition

1. Where can i get my engine's compression checked frm workshops in Islamabad/ Rawalpindi? Can compression testing rule out any faulty valves?

2. If i were to go for a kabli 2NZ motor, how would i tell if its a good piece or a bad one? Since iv seen pathans take a real bad engine and polish it up frm outside with no effort.....

btw...iv got plans to swap for 2nz frm 2e if i find something wrong mechanically with my engine... coz when engine heats up its idling really goes bad..if i tune for smoooth idling then it loses out on torque...could that be a gasket problem or a valve problem?

the problem as u mentioned ur car gets stopped after heating up,it might be due to,

1 - Bed ignition coil or shortcircuit in ignition wiring or a weak main relay/loose electrical connections.

2 - Faulty fuel pump or air lock problem in fuel system.

3 - Leakage in air intake system.

4 - Leakage in intake or exhaust manifold.

5 - Defective throttle body.

6 - Incorrect tappet clearance.
