2.0 D maintenance issues

What are the reasons for costly, frequent and difficult maintenance of 2.0D as compared to petrol cars? Please discuss.

Diesel is a low grade petroleum product hence the filters require changes more than gasoline engines. The combustion process in a diesel engine produces more contaminents that are released into the lubricating medium which concequently needs replacement. As far as difficulty in maintainence is concerned, I'm not quite sure what you mean. The 2C has been in service for as long as i can remember so workshops are perfectly capable of servicing them.
