2.OD corolla model 2000 limited.
Hi, I am a new comes to this forum and hope for a good time here. I have recieved my car 2 days back from workshop. It has gone through complete engine overhauling. Please help me choosing the right engine oil for this newly overhauled engine. Previously I was using 20W50 Shell Rimula D, 4.5 L for each 2000 KM with guard filter change. Should I remain stick to it and is it the right quantity I am using in my car? Another thing bothering me is that my mechanic has used 5 liters Rimula D engine oil instead of routine 4.5L as he says after overhauling half liter extra must be given to the engine?! Oil gauge is now above the mark as I check it today after 200 km of interrupted running. Please comment. A swift response will be much appreciated. I do not want to ruin my engine. Please help. Thanks

dear plz follow the exact oil lvl. the vehicle is designed for 4 lits. new models 2002 onwards have 5 litre oil capacity being larger chambers. your oil must remain within guage measuremments. max should never be crossed as it will have adverse effects on engine seals
use guard or original oil filters wiuth every oil change, change diesel filter after 10k running and use the same brand but purchase fronm authorised dealership. best of luck
