2015 Civic Catalytic Converter Cleaning

2015 Civic Catalytic Converter Cleaning

Hi everyone,

I have a 2015 Honda Civic Rebirth 1.8 Prosmatec that’s been driven around 240,000 km. It seems like the catalytic converter might be clogged. We’ve had the car since 2015, and it was cleaned once about 4-5 years ago. Lately, the car has been jerking a bit when driving at lower speeds 40-60 km/h and feels a bit sluggish.

I’ve heard a lot about cleaning the catalytic converter and would like to know where in Lahore I can get this done without damaging it. If anyone has had this done before and can recommend a place, I’d really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

In our workshop, we check catalytic converters for blockage using old guidelines that involve measuring pressure differentials. If the pressure is too high, we replace the converter. Sometimes converters have other issues, like damage o r coolant leaks, that don’t show up as pressure problems but still mean it needs replacing. Also, washing converters with water can damage them. Thanks for helping us steer clear of these misleading practices.
