A TECHNICAL Q.The effect of A.C.on the car engine

ok,i wana know how does the car A.C.effects the wear and tear of car engine,,i know patrol consumption is increased but does turning on the car A.C. effects the life of engine?????
another thing ,,,IS IT RIGHT TO TURN ON THE CAR A.C. SUDDENLY WHILE CAR IS MOVING,i.e. WHEN IT IS IN 2ND OR 3RD OR 4TH GEAR ???????

hello!
A/C Compressor pulley was connected with engine pulley...so it just need rotation you can say it need torque to make A/C COmpressor working......so it put loads on engine....no wear tear relation...but its like when engine runs on load it definately wears some things...so bigger engines perform more comparing to smaller engines....compressor size and cooling also depends....its nothing like that to on A/C on higher gears......you can even start it on Neutral and then run car...but as it put sudden load on engine so its better to start it after when engine completes its initial run...
