i read somewhere that g13b has forged internals....
true or falsee.

if yes than which other engines have forged internals..

G13B

The G13B is an automotive engine manufactured by Suzuki Motor Corporation. The G13B is an inline 4 cylinder engine utilizing aluminum for the block, cylinder head and pistons. The G13B has 1.3 liters of displacement. It is used with either a carburator or fuel injection. This engine is used in the Suzuki Swift and in the Suzuki Samurai / Sierra 4x4. Rumor says that nissan has used the same basic engine in the Nissan Sunny.

It is strong block but needs attention. It is also vulnerable for overheating. Feed it with fresh oil, make sure it is nice and warm before you put the pedal to the metal.

There are several variaties of the basic 1300 engine. The Swift GTI twin cam is well known. Older Swift GS types (before '89) used a special camshaft and carburator, which are now sought after items. The 1600 8v engine used in the Suzuki Vitara (G16B) is closely related to the 1300
