After how much kms, engine needs overhauling

can anybody tell me that what is average life of engine like honda's civic,suzuki cultus in karachi climate & roads
after how much kms, engine needs overhauling 9 means we have to change ring,pistons etc.)

& if any body has to check engine's condition, how can i check whether my engine is in good condition or bad?

Depends On How Rude Owner Is
If Engine Is Taken Care Having Proper Oil Change Interval With Quality Oil And Filter...It Last Long For Around 250k Km Easily.....
If Not Taken Care.....It Can Also Gone Down On 100k Kms Or 150k kms Which Usually Do Here.....! Reason Is No Proper Care And No Proper Oil....!
