Air intake on cng installed car (Civic Exi97 Auto)

Will air intake help improve pick up of a car running on CNG or it will further drop it down. The car is Civic 97 with Auto transmission.

The pick up on Petrol is very good. Even goes upto 6000rpm on lower gears but on cng it changes gear on 45000 rpm maximum. Not want to use my car in racing but sometimes I feel I am loosing to a mehran on cng in the start so i have to switch sometimes on petrol for gaining pickup.

What do you suggest?
