Airfilter assembly

i would like to know agar alto vxr 06 model kay airfilter assembly ka airintake pipe is cut short will that make a difference?i mean will it increase acceleration??

intake assembly is long so that car inducts air from some cold place. if u cut the short the air intake, hot engine air will go in, eventually decreasing acceleration
