Alpine sub..

well a friend wanted me to buy a sub for himself a week ago.. since i was buzy workin n studyin.. n more over i took 2 other projects from my friends friend, but sumhow i managed to take sumtym out for my buddy...

so here it goes.. he was a lil low on budget so i had keep that in mind n grabd an alpine R 12'.. dual 2 ohm.. so that i can wire it up to 1ohm as his amp is a 1ohm stable amp..
after buyin it i had to built a box .. i was considerin a 6th order bandpass as i neva had a chance to make it but
since he hav a 900watt amp so around 300-400 would b its rms as a rough idea.. considerin this i had to go for a vented box because bandpass or any big enclosure would increase the woofers power intake but luckily we already r outa power so had to make a vented one...

its a 1.7071 cubic feet tuned to 33 hertz... u ppl would
b wonderin y 1.7071 n y not juz 1.7 cubic ft.. the thing
is i also had to calculate the displacement of the woofer
as the woofer it self will acquire space so u have to add
the space or the box wont be a proper tuned box..

u did the cuttig ur self?
how does it sound? plan to throw in some damping material?
next time, use lasani instead of chip board.
did u try using PVC pipe as port? i think it should have less port noise,
