Alternate Fuel - Biodiesel - LPG Fumigation

Has anyone developed Biodiesel? What are the cost per liter for this fuel?

Has anyone experimented with an LPG Fumigation System for their Turbo Diesel Engines? If so are there any kits / systems available in Pakistan?

As a means of reducing consumption and running costs, I'd be rather sceptical, but I haven't had any personal experience.

The few applications that I know of can be used to "overfuel" a diesel engine when the original injection pump can't cope with the increased airflow. That, and the fact that it burns faster, so it can improve and speed up combustion in a diesel engine. Overfueling a diesel engine causes the Exhaust Gas Temperatures to rise, as diesel burns slower. LPG injection might help in overcoming that.

Other than that, like I said, I haven't got any personal experience with it. So any comments that I made concerning the economical aspects of the setup should be taken with a grain of salt.

I have some long term plans for developing a performance diesel application when my pocket and time permit. I might just try it to see if I can gain anything from it. Power gains, I'm sure. Efficiency? We'll see...
