Analoug Dashboard Instruments to Digital

Hi,

Does anyone know how can I convert my Analoug Dashboard instruments to Digital. I understand most vehicles have ECU's with digital outputs like the Speed and RPM.
But what about in the case where there is no ECU e.g. in Direct Injection Diesel Engine or Carb Engines where the outputs are analoug electrical signals.

My aim to port any 1980's engines instrument signals to a nice looking newer instruments guagues. E.g. Porting a 1984 G-glass with a 240 GD engine to a 1998 Mercedes S-Class Instruments.

What does the emulator have to do with Speed & RPM? dont buy that!!!

Just go to HallRoad and buy a hobbyist electronic circuit for digital speedometer and RPM meter that will cost u about 400-500 Rs ....

Talk with any one who knows electronics , the digital guages are no problem...

If your car is OBD compliant u can attach your laptop/ pda that can also display RPM/ Speed on the move ....
