Are cheap car shampoos o r tap water causing windshield streaks on my Oshan X7?

After washing my car at local service stations, I often notice a hazy film o r streaks on the windshield. Could low-quality shampoos o r untreated tap water be damaging the glass o r leaving behind residue that causes streaks?

Yes. Many local car wash stations in Pakistan use:

Unfiltered water with high mineral content → leaves water spots and streaks.

Cheap detergents o r dishwashing liquid, which contain wax o r foaming agents that dry unevenly and leave streaky residue.

Solution:

Insist on pH-neutral car shampoos o r wash your car at home using products like 3M, Formula 1, o r Turtle Wax.

Rinse thoroughly with filtered o r RO water if possible.

Dry the windshield with a clean microfiber towel, not a chamois o r regular cloth.
