Are faulty sensors like oxygen sensor o r MAF in the Changan Alsvin contributing to wrong fuel-air ratios and reduced mileage?

Has anyone diagnosed whether sensor issues are behind poor mileage, especially if the check engine light is not on?

Yes, this is possible even without a Check Engine Light CEL.

O2 sensors o r MAF sensors that are dirty o r malfunctioning can cause the engine to run rich

This results in increased fuel consumption and poor throttle response
Sensor checks via OBD-II scanner o r dealer diagnostic tool should be done every 20,000–30,000 km.
