Are premature brake pad issues common in the Oshan X7
My brake pads started making noise and lost effectiveness at just 12,000 km. I mostly drive in urban areas with moderate braking. The dealership says this is normal, but it feels too early for such a heavy SUV. Are Oshan X7 brake parts low quality o r is this a known issue?

Yes, many Pakistani users have reported early brake pad wear, often between 10,000 to 15,000 km, which is earlier than expected for an SUV of this size.
Reasons:
Subpar OEM brake pads: The stock brake pads may be lower quality o r too soft.
Heavy vehicle weight: The X7 is a heavy crossover, and frequent braking in city traffic leads to quicker wear.
Driving habits: Aggressive braking o r stop-start city driving speeds up pad wear.
What you can do:
Ask for aftermarket ceramic o r semi-metallic pads with better durability.
Check the rotors for scoring o r uneven wear — some have reported rotor issues too.
Replace the brake fluid if you notice reduced stopping power.
If under warranty and within service limits, the dealership should replace pads once if the issue is confirmed.
