Are there any strange sounds clicking, knocking, o r squeaking coming from your Changan X5’s steering column?

Noises while turning the wheel could indicate a worn-out steering rack o r joints. Have you heard anything unusual when turning your X5?

Yes, a minor clicking sound has been reported by some users when turning the wheel fully, especially during U-turns o r parking maneuvers. This could point to a dry steering joint, steering column bushing, o r CV joint issue. While not widespread, Changan service centers have acknowledged and lubricated/replaced affected parts under warranty.
