well i've read many posts of u, i wanted to know one thing...
i've 2000 exi manual, just 29k done... most of the time car remained parked....

now i've encountered a problem whil turning such as u turns i hear a sound like GHOOON n this sound keeps on coming till the streering wheel is turned left or rite, no matter full or half....
secondly this sound doesn't come while stationery, if at stationery i turn the steering wheel to either side, the sound doesn't come. the sound only comes when the car moves with steering wheel turned rite or left....


few days back, i went to honda drive in, they said its ok, n then i showed to a mechanic outside, he told me that power steering pump has become faulty n is to b changed coz the current one is not repairable...

u suggest me plz, wat to do with that sound, steering oil was a bit low a couple of months before then i brought it to the correct level, n till now, its ok......


one more thging does civic 2000 n city 2002-2003 have the same power steering pump????

plz solve my problem....

Well brother as far as i understand to this issue.....i don think and wud never suggest you to even think of this problem related with the steeering....because if the nosie is related to the steering it wud be from the ends and the rak ends........and in case ur both the ends are making the noise.....u have an issue with ur suspension to address...moreover the ends at both the side won't start to make noise at the same time...if they does they won't be sounding the way you are telling..

its the noise of the bearings...have u ever got them changed? if yes when was the last time....and how much mileage after that...so i wud recommend u to go to a mechanic not in any of the honda dealerships but to a simple mechanic known to you for his performance and get your all 4 wheel bearings checked and replaced with the genuine ones immediately....

Regarding the power pump what you have mentioned...the signs don indicate to the power pump and i wud strongly recommend not to replace it.....and for the difference between the models of pumps enquired by you...i don have 100% idea at the moment but will surely let you know tomorrow....
