Basic Maintenance - Oil Check

Basic Maintenance - Oil Check

A basic maintenance check is to keep an eye on the oil level in engine. Oil is the life blood of an engine.

The check must occasionally be done when the engine is in good condition and more often (say every or every other time you get gasoline) when the engine is older, if it burns oil.

It should also be done at the start and a couple of times during a long, high speed road trip.

Tools: A clean lint-free cloth or paper towel.

Park the car in a level position amd turning off the engine. After a few minutes (about five is good) the hood open.

Vcheng have you ever tried motor honey for any of your engines? I was getting a bit of lifter noise (nothing too alarming) and my mechanic recommended it after my last oil change.
