Battery Cooling System and Thermal Management Challenges

Are Tesla Model S vehicles in Pakistan prone to battery overheating because of the warm environment and heavy traffic? What symptoms do owners notice when the cooling system struggles — such as reduced acceleration, power limits, o r warnings on the dashboard?

The Tesla Model S relies heavily on its liquid-cooled battery system to stay within safe temperature limits, but Pakistan’s environment can push the system to its limits. Common symptoms owners notice include:

Power-limited mode, where the car reduces acceleration to protect the battery.

HV battery cooling system warnings on the dashboard.

The cooling fan running loudly and frequently.

During long trips o r heavy traffic, the car may temporarily restrict performance to manage temperature.

In severe heat, insufficient air circulation especially during slow traffic can cause the battery to heat up faster than the cooling system can handle, making thermal management a major concern for Pakistani drivers.
