BMW Parts Help Wanted

Hi,

My cousin, who lives in Islamabad, needs few things for his 1992 316i BMW car. We checked Plaza market and Shershah but couldn't find the required parts.

It would be great if anyone help us locate/find the required components of the car, we want:

1. Alternator/Generator/Dynamo

2. Full gearbox (auto)

3. Full engine (if we could find)

I am unable to stop my laugh. I think I will be in a similiar situation in near future.

Jokes aside, Ya need to outsource the engine thats M40B16 along with an auto tranny of M43B16. Generator/Dynamo is a bit different in Bimmer's case, its kinda integrated one which needs to be outsourced aswell. In local market (Plaza) ther's Mubarak Autos who deals in BMW parts, I guess ya must have checked with him but he dont have the whole range of parts as I asked him couple of days back for the O2 sensor and he got a used one, damn used O2 sensor is useless. In Shershah ya wont find anything significant regarding E-36.

My personal recommendation to ya is to goto Dubai and buy the stuff, it will be hell lotta cheaper ya can pull off the whole deal for an Engine/ECU/Gearbox/Dynmo and many other parts such as suspension stuff for as less as 5k Dirhams. Or ask an engine importer/Kabaria to get one for ya but in that case ask for a carate engine coz that will include the wiring harness/ECU/Engine and many goodies aswell. I gotta friend there at Chaman I will ask him if ther's any E-36 standing ther.

Btw, how had he busted his engine coz M40B16 is literally quite strong old-school engine, I too got the same in my bimmer. And I think if it got busted sometime I will throw a 3-Ct or a ///M Motor along with 6 speed tranny.
