Brake Losening Up / sinking
Brake Losening Up / sinking
recently our car's brake tends to losen a bit at times
under normal conditions, when the brake is applied, one can feel some hydraulic retardation in the pedal. that tends to decrease at times and pedals losens up and one has to press the pedal to the floor, to get some braking. its like the brake oil has leaked BUT when u release the pedal and press it again suddenly the oil retardation is back and the pedal feels normal, works normal
it not that seriuos, doesnt happen much, normal high speed braking is normal aswell, only when standing at signals, the brake pedal sinks to the floor at times.
brake oil level is near to max
brake pads/shoes are fine aswell
95% of the time braking is fine.
what can be the problem

first check the master cylinder.
then check the oil level.
then check the front tyres if u feel any spots of oil or water like on rims or bolts or anywhere.
make sure everything is fine.
now you need to bleed the brake oil to set it and both tyres must be with same pressure/bleed else ur car will take turn while applying brakes.
after bleeding, level the gear oil again and take a ride see if it is working fine
for bleeding process u need to press the pedal again and again and then lock the bleeding nozzle then again press the pedal fully and open the nozzle to give it full pressure and then close it again. repeat the process till u get good brake setup.
apply same procedure for both tyres. and u r done
