Can a cracked MG HS fuel cap cause fuel smell inside the cabin?

A few owners claim they notice petrol vapors around the car o r even inside the cabin. Is this a safety hazard due to faulty sealing in MG HS fuel caps?

A cracked MG HS fuel cap can cause fuel vapors to escape, leading to a petrol smell around the car and sometimes inside the cabin. This is indeed a safety concern, as long-term exposure to vapors is harmful, and in extreme cases, it may increase fire risk if exposed to sparks.
