Can high temperatures in Pakistan cause transmission fluid leaks in the Oshan X7?

Temperatures in my city like Lahore o r Karachi regularly reach 40°C+, and my car is often in heavy traffic. I’ve noticed slight transmission fluid leakage near the underbody. Could extreme heat cause pressure build-up o r expansion that leads to seal o r gasket failure in the Oshan X7s DCT system?

Yes, extreme heat and traffic congestion—common in cities like Karachi, Lahore, and Multan—can increase the transmission’s internal pressure. If the system is old o r overfilled, it may expand beyond design limits, stressing seals and gaskets, leading to leaks.

Signs of heat-related leaks:

Fluid seeping out after long traffic jams

Burning smell from underneath the car

Overheating warnings if sensors detect rising gearbox temps

Prevention:

Stick to the recommended DCT fluid change schedule usually every 60,000 km o r 3 years.

Never overfill the transmission.

Avoid excessive idling in traffic—use neutral when stationary for long periods.
