Can low-quality engine oil be the reason for excessive oil consumption in my Oshan X7?

I recently changed oil at a local workshop, and since then, I’ve noticed my engine oil level s faster. Could the use of substandard o r non-recommended oil lead to higher consumption in the turbocharged engine?

Yes, using substandard o r non-recommended engine oil can cause:

Poor lubrication leading to faster wear of engine components.

Oil burning due to incorrect viscosity o r additives that break down in high temperature.

Increased evaporation o r sludge formation, which clogs oil passages.

Pakistani market sometimes has cheap counterfeit oils o r oils not matching the manufacturer’s specs.

Recommendations:

Use high-quality synthetic o r semi-synthetic oil matching Hyundai’s specifications usually 5W-30 o r 5W-40 for the turbo engine.

Change oil at authorized service centers o r reliable workshops using genuine products.
