Can short trips and city driving cause battery issues in the Hyundai Oshan X7?

My daily commute is only 10–15 minutes in city traffic. Someone told me that short trips can reduce battery life. Is that true for the Oshan X7, and how does it affect battery charging?

Yes. Short trips under 15 minutes don’t allow the alternator enough time to fully recharge the battery after starting:

Startup consumes significant power, especially with AC and infotainment running.

In congested Pakistani cities, frequent idling and low RPM driving reduce alternator output.

How to fix it:

Once a week, take the car on a 20–30 minute highway drive to charge the battery.

Limit unnecessary electrical loads like phone charging o r rear defogger during short drives.

Ensure battery terminals are clean and tight to maximize charging efficiency.
