Can the MG HS 1.5 Turbo Engine Handle Full Passenger Load Without Losing Performance?

When fully loaded with 5 passengers and luggage, some MG HS owners feel that the engine becomes sluggish, especially when climbing hills. Is the power-to-weight ratio of the 1.5T engine insufficient for such loads, o r could this be due to driving mode settings o r turbo lag?

The 1.5 T engine outputs around 160–162 hp ≈119 kW and 250 Nm torque

Suggestions:

Drive in Sport mode when loaded uphill.

Maintain high-octane fuel 95 RON to maximize turbo response.
