Car drinking engine oil???

hello,

my cousin changed engine oil last week, tomorrow morning when the engine was cold, he checked its engine oil, and it was a bit lower then half. but when he started the engine for a few minutes and then checked again, it was a bit higher than half.

there is no white smoke or burnt spark plugs, no rattling or strange sound from engine.

car is honda civic
what could be wrong ?

if last time you check the oil on they day change along with pump guy

first of all do remember you need to wait 1/2 hour after change the oil and filter to set the oil and before that just after change of oil&filter do start the car so oil goes in the filter.

which car you have ? and how much you travel in 7 days?
