Car gets heat up, temp. gauge reads higher

My car (2OD G) temperature guage reads higher more than 50% tuoching almost 100% immediately after starting the engine and the needle shakes violently in that range. It shows higher reading esp. with the increase in accelerator.I think my car also heats up more than normal. I regularly check and put water if needed . I thought may be the problem was in the RADIATER.

So yesterday I at last replaced the radiater with a genuine kabli one (Rs 9000) but it did not work and the the temperature guage reads the same rather a bit higher and my car heats up as well as before.I also put rpm regulator. The pick of the car improved a bit but I do not know whether it was because of the the new radiator or due to rpm regulator for AC.

Now please advise that where lies the actual problem and please answer the following question;

1)
How will I know that my previous Radiater was fine ?because it was me who decided the problem was with radiater not a a technical person.
2)
If my previous radiator was fine then where does lie the problem?

Please comment earliest in case my own radiator is fine then of course Iwill return the new one in a coupler days and correct the actual problem
