Chipped my car=More power & better fuel average!

Hey guys

Chipped my car about a month ago thought I'll share it with you. My car was 150bhp as standard (1.9 DOHC SRI Turbo Diesel), after chipping is around 180-190bhp which is pretty quick for a diesel. Before chip tuning the car, it was giving me around 34mpg locally, now around 38mph locally (that's party with flooring the pedal). Chip box I bought is 2nd hand, costing 50 pounds and installs literally within 2 mins.

I don't know how it works but it does, this guy I know bought a 335i. He remapped the ECU and now it's much faster then new M3 and better on fuel then before.

Does anyone know how this works ie more power and better fuel aswell

sumair, these chips play around with timing, boost, fuel, air etc. on diesel cars you can get HUGE improvements in torque since most stock TD's are designed to give bottom end grunt not outright performance.
