CIVIC 2000 vti Auto Heating Problem

Hi,
i know this is not the first thread about this specific problem but mine is a little different.
i am driving my car on patrol only. few days back while going to murree (up hill) via new expressway, while on final incline (on last leg), the temperature gauge started rising up... it reached a little above the last quater. i stopped the car and after 3 mins the temp was normal again.....

now i need to go to lahore on coming weekend... and i really dont know if my car will be able to cross salt range (motorway) while coming back without temp gauge rising to dangerous limits.

i have planned to service the radiator but em not sure this is the only solution or not

please advise

thats because of the small stupid radiators our honda's have
transmission oil also has to share the small tank and doing uphill gear hunting increases temperature.
i also used to face problem going to murree/nathia gali. (my car doesnt like that region i suppose)
Pir sohawa or salt range is a piece of cake for it

i have already damaged my cars engine from overheating. threw it out. got another. got a bigger radiator kabli one
