CNG- is it worth it?

CNG- is it worth it?

Whenever i pass by a CNG station, there is a huge queue for gas. Which makes me wonder, is it really that economical?
1. Whats the mpg of ,lets say a v-tec car on petrol vs cng?(both in the city n motorway)
2. Does it really ruin the engine or they just rumours?
3. Does running a car on CNG increase the servicing costs?
4. how does the mpg of a diesel car compare with that of a CNG'd car?
5. So, is waiting in that long queue really worth it?

1 - CNG 50 RS KG = 20 KM / Petrol 66 Rs = 13 KM - Motorway CNG 25KM to 28KM / Petrol 15KM to 17KM.

2 - Some say because its more cleaner fuel the engine lasts longer than petrol. You dont have to change oil more often.

3 - Hmm not at all.

4 - again CNG 50 RS kg = 20 KM - Diesel over 66 Rs = 15KM to 16KM

5 - Depends on your pocket buddy. If you can afford petrol or diesel there is nothing better than this.
