Cold Air Intake System

Cold Air Intake System

Salam to all brothers,

Can someone please tell me what r the advantages of a cold air intake system? What changes will i feel in my car (pick, consumption etc.) and what components would i need to install/remove to have one in my car?

I have a 1986 Toyota Corona with 16 Valve Efi engine (CNG installed).

When you ask for intake system that means you are looking for performance gains, but you are using CNG so that means you want economy. Do you know thiese things do not go hand in hand, they are opposites

Cold Air Intake aka CAI is piping system fixed to the intake where the air opening is either to the outside or front of the vehicle. Meaning air is being sucked from outside the engine bay then from inside (engine bay air is hotter due to engine heat and exhaust manifold heat) hence the name CAI or cold air intake.

Gains depends on the sytem you use but are hardly noticable by the butt dyno(that is you). Fixing again depends on the brand of system you use or you make a custom one not very difficult. You will have to remove your intake filter system just before the Throttle body to install such a system.
