Compressor is making noise

hi guys i have civic 98 EXI, the problem is that the compressor of my car makes alot of noise and the gas of the A/C always get leak, in last four months i have filled up the gas thrise but always get leak.but the ac work very nicely when there is gas, but when u turn on the A/C the compressor makes noise like the truck is start.
please tell me how to get rid of this problem

The noise could be due to excessive head pressure. Have the pressures checked on the high and the low side to make sure they are within specs. Secondly check the compressor clutch bearing to make sure that the noise is not coming from there. If the above things check out ok and the noise is coming from inside the compressor, then I'm afraid we have bad news. The compressor is dying and will probably need to be replaced. I replaced the compressor on my 96 exi recently after it developed a rattle. Cooling was perfect but it was dragging the car.

As for the leak, you need to find the source and have it fixed.
