I have a 1989 corolla, it is a carburetor 5A engine, I want to change it to fuel injection...but I am unclear to whether I will have to change the whole gas tank or just the gas pump. Do you think installing replacing original map sensor on the 5AFE with one from a levin engine will give me more power?

Why dont u go for a full swap rather then trying to convert the existing one?

If you still want to convert. change the intake manifold and make place for all sensors.

I dont thin tehre will be any significant power gains by pchanging map sensor. chances of getting things screwed are higher
