Corolla Automatic Transmission Acceleration!!

Hello ppl. Im having acceleration problems with my 1992 (Recond) Automatic transmission corolla.. Its pickup from zero has become almost dead.. but that seems to be a tuning problem to me. Whats more worrying is that when i floor the pedal , normally it would shift to low gear and accelerate quite fat.. but nowadays, it does not shift.. and the pickup is almost none.. so im wondering if its not just a tuning but a transmission problem.. Any help by an experienced person will be really appreceiated..

it seems that problem is not with the car pick up but with its transmission. during driving observe that car is changing all the 4 gears or not , i had the same problem with my car and it turned out in the end that car was taking start from 3rd gear instead of first one. I will suggest you to go some good auto trasmission machanic to get it checked.
