Corolla overhauled

hey guys im getting my 1974 corolla engine overhauled

my mechanic has asked my to get gtx engine oil (pso)
so far i have been using shell helix super (the yellow container) for the past many years

shuld i get the gtx or stick with shell
or do u guys have any other reccomendations
as this is and old car but very well maintained

ANOTHER THING

I ASLO need to get gear oil and i have used PSO GEAR OIL
EP 140-API SERVICE GL-4

SHULD i continue using this or is thr a better option available
