Local petrol is often considered substandard compared to international standards. Is this a factor that’s reducing the efficiency of MG HS engines?

Poor-quality petrol in Pakistan is indeed a factor. The MG HS turbo engine requires high-octane fuel for peak efficiency, but most drivers use regular petrol. This mismatch lowers efficiency and can also cause knocking, forcing the engine to consume more fuel.
