Cultus-Whistling sound from Back

There is a strange whistling sound coming from the back portion of my Cultus. When I took it to the dealer the mechanic told me that it is the fuel pump and not to worry as it will go away with passage of time. Is he right?

The Car is Cultus VXRi driven 1400 kms.

the whistling sound increase or decrease when u press the accelerator or its constant ??
