Daihatsu Cuore Engine Not Performing Well on Petrol

Daihatsu Cuore Engine Not Performing Well on Petrol

I drive a 2009 Daihatsu Cuore CX CNG car with 28000 KM driven, mostly on petrol. I get regular maintenance done at the authorized Toyota & Daihatsu dealership. However, Ive been facing an engine performance issue that the dealership cant seem to resolve.

When driving at a fixed speed e.g. 40 KM/H, I sometimes feel the engine periodically gets pulled back, making the drive uncomfortable and grinding. This doesnt happen all the time and boosting the engine helps, but thats not practical in the city. The issue persists even after replacing the tires with Dunlop DigiTyre Eco and adjusting tire pressure. After a recent service and engine tuning, the drive became uncomfortable, and I took the car to another auto shop where it ran smoothly for 1.5 weeks before the issue occurred.

Any help in resolving this issue would be appreciated.

It seems like theres a problem with the engine performance of your 2009 Daihatsu Cuore CX CNG car. The grinding and pulling back you feel when driving at a fixed speed might be caused by several different things, such as a vacuum leak in the engine, worn o r damaged spark plugs o r ignition system, fuel system problems, transmission problems, o r a malfunctioning Mass Air Flow MAF sensor.

I would suggest getting the car checked by a professional, who can run a diagnostic scan to identify any faults in the engine control module ECU. You could also consider getting a second opinion from another mechanic o r auto shop with experience working on Daihatsu Cuore CX CNG vehicles.

If all else fails, it might be helpful to seek out a specialist who specifically works on these types of vehicles. They may have more knowledge and experience in identifying and fixing the specific problems youre facing.
