Damaged Engine Support

Damaged Engine Support

My car had an accident due to which the "Chimta" (a square peice of metal beneath engine that supports it. I think its also commonly known as "Gadri"), as the mechanic calls it, has been damaged. Due do this the engine has tilted towards right side (if you are sitting in drivers seat) and the pulleys of A/C now touch with engine body. My car is Santro 2002.

The mechanic says that if we replace it with parts from Bilal Gunj, it shall cost around 8-9K and if we try to manually dent it to its shape, it shall still cost around 3-4k. My concern is that are the estimates provided by the mechanic right? If yes then what should I go for; replacement or denting? The damage to the "chimta" is not so significant that any cracks are visible, just a little nudged towards down and right. All the suggestions shall be highly appreciated.
