Decreasing milage

Decreasing milage

this is a question by someone on this forum that needs to b answered ....

" Does the consumption reduces in winters? I installed CNG kid early dec 05 and the first cylinder (45KG) gave 140 KM approx. After that it kept on reducing and yesterday i got only 90 from the same. I got filled the cylinder last night at 11.30 and the gas pressure was very high. But in the morning I was surprised to see that the pressure has dropped. The gas station is hardly 1.5KM away from my home. There is no leakage in the KIT. Any idea wht's goin on with a brand new kit and cylinder. "

No it doesn't if at all any change ought to occur, i think it should increase because the AC isnt used. I experience the same thing daily. A discussion with a friend showed that he did too and we came to the conclusion that when CNG is newly installed, it gives more mileage and gradually starts decreasing.

My 1300cc Corolla `95 initally gave 160km on a 55kg cylinder which dropped to as low as just 110! I got it installed around last Spetember. It's only through a few tuning sessions that its now to 140.

I hope that once i change the engine rings (a long time requirement), it'll be giving more.

In short, i think you need to get some tuning done.
