DIESEL IN A PETROL CAR

Previous night one of my friend was comming from Lqahore via G.T Road. Near Jehlum his driver stopped for petrol refueling. When they moved some distance the car stopped. On being checked by a mechanic they come to know that the attendent of petrol station had accidently put diesel in the car. The car had to be later towed to Rawalpindi.
Can any one inform that what has happned to the car's engine block, by the way the car is Corolla Gli, 2005
