Diesel related:bad Glow plug from over one month

Today i found out that my peugeot 205 has been starting from the last one month or more on 3 glow plugs rather than four,

A some of you know that i went to karachi by road on the 26th of dec, i remember the early morning starting on the 25th & 26th dec wasnt normal, it had a small missing sort of half hearted willingness to start and some delay in starting,

but the car still started on the first cranking after 1 routine heater.

then i went to karachi, i did not notice anything there, mostly because it wasnt that cold in karachi... and i had 3 working glow plugs which were doing the job for me,

but as i came back to isb on the 23rd of january, i felt the same missing sort of feeling while cranking the first time in the day...

i thought thats bcoz the chowk cable is loose and i m running it pretty lean, i didnt care much...as the car used to start fine the rest of the day...

so, on the 28th of jan. when i cranked the engine after 1 heater, the same thing happened but the car didnt start as i did not crank long enought.. i tried to adjust the chowk cable..and give it a try again..

the car did start..but with the same missingn sort of feeling while cranking...

then i thought of the glow plugs., got them checked..one wasnt working , got it replaced later...

i was surprised at the end that how it had been starting on 3 glowplugs in this cold weather at the first heater without long cranking...

---------

while replacing the heater the mechanic had to open 2 diesel injector pipes, and after fitting the new heater, before tightening these injector pipes, the air had to be let out, it is done by cranking the engine long untill all the air escapes the pipes and only diesel comes out,

the mechanic asked me to crank the engien for long as he had to let all the air out before tightening the 2 injector pipes...

i did that , but to my and my mechanics surprise..the engine started on a very short cranking , only 2 cylinders were firing..

------

Me and my mechanic know that this isnt very normal stuff...
wat do u guys think...

(I have a heavy duty fuel pump from Bosh with some turbo support thingy..)

In some cases you can run a Diesel engine on 3 cylinders.
All you have to do is open the Tappet cover, take out the Push Rod and fuel injector of the faulty cylinder. Dont forget to close the fuel line
