Diesel starting Problem when its hot

Diesel starting Problem when its hot

Hi Folks. I own a Nissan OD. When i start it in the morning with Heater, it would start in almost half surf. If i keep it running and then start it immediately after stopping, it will take a significant long surf. This long surf really irritates me. My engine has around 40% blow but i am not willing to buy the idea that this blow is causing hard start. Coz if this had been b'coz of blow, then i sld take equally long surf to start when its cold .

Could anyone suggest something?

hi,,Diesels have around 25000 kms life after they start blow by,,that means you can run it for almost 1 year, dont worry about it. When the engine is hot the blow increases twice as much because diesels have a very high compression ratio,,1st check the blow on a cold start and then on a hot engine, if there its too much of difference then its a weak engine,,I think its Atomiser related problem, this happens when they are spraying unequal amount of fuel at different pressures, like one at 110psi and another at 130 and so on, so some cylinders get too much and some get very little fuel, since they are fed by different lines and inter connected by a common line that takes away fuel to the tank. Get them cleaned and set them at 145 psi, and then adjust the fuel mixture, make it richer, and increase the injection timing by advancing the pump a little bit,,your car will have a better pick up and fuel consumption. The starting problem will be solved hopefuly. Check your oil for undissolved carbon soot. The engine spoils the oil when it is too weak and can no longer compress the air,so unburnt gases escape the combustion chamber.
