Diff b/w woofer n subwoofer

hey guys can any one tel me wht is the difference b/w woofer n subwoofer n which is good do tel me

A subwoofer plays the frequencies lower than the woofer.

So to make it understand better lower frequencies are for more bass, and higher frequency is for treble whatever u can call it here.
